The heat treatment process of key processes is analysed to control the quality of quenched surface of ring forgings, eliminate the stress in processing and ensure the dimensional accuracy of products. The experimental results show that which process can effectively reduce the residual stress and improve the deformation of large ring forgings.

Finally, the method of stress compensation to control deformation is explored to improve the distortion of large ring forgings. Stress compensation is used to control the deformation of large ring forgings during heat treatment by means of an external device to make the force of the ring forgings uniform, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the deformation of large ring forgings.
