Singapore is a land-scarce city-state, and it is planning a large-scale coastal protection project to adapt to the rising sea levels. As the coastal protection measures occupy valuable seaside space, we are looking for innovative solutions that use land more effectively, can adapt to the higher-than-expected sea-level rise and respect nature, as well as satisfy versatility and habitability.

We are looking for companies with knowledge of the following requirements:

1. Solutions that can protect our coastline from sea-level rise and the erosion of waves and storms.
2. Innovations in materials science and construction engineering that allow for the gradual strengthening of coastal protection measures in the future, or the reduction of damage and interference to existing measures.
3. Innovative technologies that incorporate natural or urban landscape features into our coastal protection measures.
4. Nature-based solutions that can complement engineering solutions, protect and sustainably manage the environment and biodiversity.
